Introduction

The Guru-Shishya tradition is an important part of India's culture. No one can ever take the place of parents in life, because they are the ones who bring us to this colorful beautiful world. It is said that the first guru in life is our parents. In India, the teacher and teacher tradition has been going on since ancient times.


Teachers' Day is celebrated in our country every year on 5 September in honor of teachers and on the birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, former President of India. The first Vice-President and former President of Independent India's birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan celebrated as Teachers' Day. On September 5, 1888, Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was born.


Along with being a good politician, he was also a great teacher and a good philosopher, who had spent most of his life telling the importance of teachers in society and the greatness of teaching work, and his importance in the development and upliftment of the country.


Therefore every year in his honor, his birth anniversary is celebrated as Teachers' Day. He served the nation from 1962 to 1967 as President. and in the year 1962, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was appointed as the President of the country.



Importance Of Teachers Day


Teacher's day is very important, it is the day that we celebrate as a tribute to the efforts and work of our teachers. The task of teaching is one of the most difficult tasks in the world because they have the responsibility of educating the youth. 


In their work, there are children of a whole class, and because every student is different from the other and has his ability. So this task becomes even more difficult, some students are good at sports and some are interested in mathematics and some in English. 


Teachers educate students like their own children with great care, love, and seriousness, which inculcates a sense of belonging among the students. Children are the future of society. And teachers help them to show. Students of the teacher can be an accountant, doctor, pilot, engineer, lawyer, or in any field. The teacher is the future builder of the student.


That is why this day has been dedicated to showing respect and gratitude to the teachers.



How Is Teachers Day Celebrated


In our country, Teachers Day is celebrated every year on 5 September. Children are very enthusiastic about Teachers' Day, as well as before many days in advance in special preparations to honor their teachers and make them feel special.


In today's modern era, the style and level of Teacher's Day have changed a lot. Students make various plans to congratulate their teachers. Some students congratulate their favorite teachers by giving them gifts, greeting cards, pens, diaries, etc. At the same time, some students greet through audio messages, email, video messages, a letter written, online chat, or social media.


On this occasion special programs are organized in institutes including schools, colleges and on this day, teachers who do excellent work in society are also honored.


Teacher's day is a very important day for every teacher and student, on this day many competitions including speeches, essay writing is also organized on Teachers Day to explain the importance of teachers to the students.
